Justin Gray At the beginning of 2014, I was not a runner.  Then, upon the recommendation of a friend, I joined the SDTC and decided to do the unthinkable: train for and run a marathon.  Under the guidance of Coach Paul and the Rockin’ ‘n’ Running’ program, I finished that marathon, which was one of the happiest moments of my life.  Now, seven years and thousands of miles later, I have been a continuous member of the SDTC, finished six marathons and four ultramarathons, and made some of my very best friends along the way.  I’ve also been fortunate to be able to help two fellow SDTC members train for and complete their first ultramarathons, as well as lead a group of runners that is currently running a virtual race circumnavigating the globe.  A proud member of the “C” group, I greatly enjoy training with my fellow turtles.  I welcome the opportunity to give back to this group that means so much to me, and ensure the SDTC continues to support all runners, turtles and hares, alike.
Lucy Horton I’ve been a member of the San Diego Track Club since 2019, and my only regret is that I did not join sooner!  As a child of two marathoners, running has always been a big part of my life, and prior to moving to San Diego I ran with a team in NYC.  My current running goal is to complete the World Majors (only two left!).

I’m running for a position on the board because I want to contribute to the SDTC and the San Diego running community, but also because I want to bring new energy and ideas to the club, and expand our reach into the community.

My prior board experience includes 5 years serving on the Board of Directors for the Stanford Club of San Diego (where I am also the chair of service), as well as for two independent schools in NYC.

When not running, I stay busy as an infectious diseases physician and so I am very committed to keeping running as healthy and safe as possible during the pandemic.

Hansen Hunt Hansen Hunt loves to run and sharing the joy of running with others. Two years ago, he started on a path towards sobriety and living a healthy life. He joined San Diego Track Club and the community became his support and inspiration for completing his first marathon (RnR 2019) and 2nd marathon as a solo race during COVID with the help of dozens of SDTC members, mentors, and coaches. His goal of joining the board is to help the organization amplify the meaningful connections that occur within the community and attract new members to join. He has 15+ years of digital marketing and community management experience.
Alex Magda My name is Alexa Magda, I grew up in Temecula California and I’ve been running for the past 9 years. I started running my senior year in high school when I decided to join the cross country team. I went on to college up in Northern California and attended the California Maritime Academy to study marine engineering, where I also helped start the cross country program and ran all four years. During the fall we ran a busy race schedule and in the spring we trained for the local half marathons. After school I worked on ships as an engineer until I decided to pursue a career shoreside. Since I’ve been living in San Diego, I’ve been working as a project manager for ship maintenance contracts and was able to get back into running and joined CrossFit. I joined the San Diego track club and Rockin’ N’ Runnin’ marathon training program last year and have really enjoyed getting to know the other runners, coaches, and being pushed in the workouts and runs. Running has become more than just a hobby to me but also therapy as I’m sure it is to so many others. I’d love to become a board member to assist in the  growth of the club for generations to come.
Jessie McBride I have been serving on the SDTC Board of Directors for the last 4 years and have been Club President for 2 years now. I joined the club when I moved to San Diego in 2013 and have loved being part of the SDTC family. I have a Civil Engineering degree and a project management background. When I’m not chasing my 1-year-old daughter Ruth around, I do event management for running races and triathlons. I am passionate about running and making the community a better place and look forward to continuing to serve on the Board of Directors for another term.
Jonathan Pierce Jonathan Pierce is a local business owner of a sports performance and rehab facility called Kinetik Performance. He has a no-nonsense, pragmatic approach to business and running, and loves to bring energy and focus to all endeavors. He loves the sport of running, and spending time in the community. He would enjoy the chance to help further develop San Diego’s most excellent running community.

Ernest Remillard Hello, my name is Ernie Remillard.

In 2009 I ran my first Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Marathon, training and running by myself.  I had a good race, but knew I could do better. After a decent second marathon, I connected with Coach Paul and had my first taste of the San Diego Track Club. His coaching and thoughtful conversation let me know this was a community I wanted to be part of. In 2014, I joined the Track Club and trained with the Rockin’ ‘n’ Runnin’ Program. Every Tuesday and Saturday, I ran with an amazing group of people. Over the past few years I have continued to run with and be coached by terrific people, I have participated in the Summer workouts, Boston Marathon Training, and No Name Program. This past year, I was also a proud mentor.

When I am not running, I am a Dad to a beautiful daughter, Eleanor. Who has been known to be at a finish line, water satiation, or post run breakfast. Professionally, I am the Principal of Mission Bay High School. Go BUCS!

I appreciate the opportunity of being a member of the Track Club Board. I look forward to bringing the same commitment and connection to San Diego Track Club that Coach Paul showed me in our initial phone call.

Suzanne Svahn My name is Suzanne Svahn and I was born and raised in Sweden.  I have lived in America’s Finest City for over 26 years and I am proud to call San Diego my home. Running is a huge part of my life and who I am. The pride and dedication I have in my training translate to my private and professional life.
I am a single mom of two teenagers and a licensed real estate agent with COMPASS.
I have been a member of the SDTC Family for more than 12 years. I believe this is the time for me to give back to the organization that has given me so much.
