Erica Bushu I have been a member of the San Diego Track Club since 2011, when I decided to run my first marathon. Joining the Track Club has certainly been a life changing experience where I have been able to continue achieving personal bests in running but more importantly I have become part of the running community and made friends for life. I have enjoyed my past 3 years being on the board and would love to be considered for another term. Being on the board of directors has given me the opportunity to give back to our running community and this club through cheer stations at races, selling our merchandise, and supporting at races. I love representing San Diego Track Club while racing all over the world.
Jamie Fryrear It’s simple with me. I’m passionate about running and everything running related. I care about San Diego Track Club and want great things to continue to happen for all Track Club members. Being on the board is an opportunity to give back to the running community that has embraced me for so many years. I feel as though it’s my turn to return all that was given to me. My husband always says I’m way too happy of a runner and that I save all my energy for my run days. Well, I translate that to mean I love giving my time to this running family, SDTC!
Eric Marenburg I’m very excited to be running for re-election as a San Diego Track Club board member. I have been a member of SDTC since moving to San Diego in 2008. As a runner my whole life, San Diego Track Club has provided a huge sense of community for me from the day I joined. So it has been a privilege to have served on the board the last 3 years and hopefully to continue to do so.

I’ve been able to make extensive contributions as a board member the last several years. As an owner of the event management company San Diego Running Co., I am able to leverage my extensive experience and network to make an impact to our club. Over the past few years, some of my contributions have included:
– Overseeing the Balboa Park 8 Miler with San Diego Running Co., growing the event to 2,000 participants/year and earning the club over $115,000 in net income since 2013
– Overseeing and facilitating a change in shirt vendor for the rockin n runnin training program, providing a savings to the program of over $2,000/year
– Providing a new partner race for Rockin n Runnin program through San Diego Running Co., saving the club thousands of dollars in 2020 and hopefully beyond
– Facilitating the purchase of new branded items including feather flags, banners and a step-and-repeat
– Providing support for the USATF Masters Cross Country Championships
– Providing support on other event management and facility challenges SDTC regularly faces including permitting and insurance

If I am re-elected to the board, I look forward to continue many of the great successes the board has achieved these past few years, including increasing the club’s visibility in the community, growing membership, continuing to invest in equipment and infrastructure and continuing to ensure members are a part of San Diego’s biggest and best running club!

Suzanne Svahn I moved to San Diego from Sweden for more than 25 years ago. I went San Diego State University (SDSU) earning a marketing degree. I’m avid marathon runner and I have been a SDTC member since I believe 2009. I have BQ’d 7 times and ran Boston Marathon twice.

I’m a single mom with two high school kids. Linnea’s is a junior and my son, Max is a freshman.

I’m a licensed real estate agent and Realtor.

San Diego running community and SDTC have giving me so much and I feel it’s time for me to give back and what better way than to become active in the board?  I hope you will consider me as one of your members and I’m excited to become more involved in the SDTC community.
